3rd – 6th Grade
This was probably the most fun. Students were encouraged to dress up as someone from the CIvil War era. I even dressed up. My outfit is pictured above. A black and white striped skirt that bustled in the back. I used crinolines to poof it out. Then, a black off the shoulder blouse and black sash. Students love seeing their teachers participate and have fun dressing up!
They dressed according to the side they represented, and could choose to dress as the following:
- Union soldier
- Confederate soldier
- Union nurse
- Confederate nurse
- Southern belle
- Northern lady
- So many of my girls dressed in their Disney princess dresses. They all did such a great job, and were so creative with their costumes.
